2 Corinthians 12:10 NLT Since I know it is all for Christ’s good, I am quite content with my weaknesses and with insults, hardships, persecutions, and calamities. For when I am weak, then I am strong.

Its hard to be content and stay content.  There’s so many pressures and distractions vying for our attention and affections.  But is only those things of God’s that are truly good for us and will bring real joy.  Also, it is only those things of God’s that will be of eternal benefit.

God’s path for us may not be covered with roses. In fact, the path may be uphill and rocky.  But when you think of it, isn’t it better to be on God’s path leading to Him, then to be on your own, being led away from His loving arms?

Let go and let God lead you to Him.  Even when things get rough and tough, He will bring comfort and strength to keep you moving to Him.

May God continue to pour out His blessings upon us all.

Heavenly Father, we confess that we struggle with contentment.  We realize that you have provided everything that we will ever need spiritually, but as a bonus, you also give to us materialistically.  You deserve for us to focus on your spiritual blessings, but unfortunately, we are distracted by our lusts for the physical and material.  Help us to understand how looking for blessings of the world will keep us from being contented in the blessings from Heaven.  For when we are satisfied in you and you alone, we are at peace, we have joy and we are victorious in all things.  We love you and thank you for who you are Lord.  In Jesus name we pray, Amen.
