Let us Pray…

I would like to end this week of devotionals and the start of a new month with the following prayer.  Please join me as we give thanks for God’s provisions, blessings and presence.

Heavenly Father, we thank You today for Your many blessings. You have watched over us this week and kept us close to Your loving heart. You have blessed our coming and our going. You have provided for us, even when we have not deserved it. We confess that as hard as we may have tried this week, we still struggled in total surrender to Your will and Your way.

But Father, our hearts are yearning to love like You have instructed us to. We desire to obey and follow after our Savior’s example, but realize that we can’t do it without Your very presence. So we ask Dear Lord that You continue to draw us close to You. Remove those things that hinder and bind us and blocks our view of You. We ask for strength to stand against the enemy and his evil ways. We ask for continued faith to hold on to Your hand, through the storms and the rains and the tears. We look forward to Your healing touch, both physically and spiritually. We know that whatever we lack, You will more than provide for us through the Holy Spirit. Thank you Lord for walking beside us, guiding us and dwelling within us.

And Father, we pray for our family, friends, neighbors and co-workers. Help us to be a blessing to them as You have been to us. Let Your light shine so brightly in and through us that Your love is all that they can see when they see us. 

Give us a grateful and thankful spirit. Help us to be content in where You have us in our journey with You. Teach us how to please You and to worship You in spirit and in truth. 

Finally Father, let our every action, words and deeds, bring glory to Your son, Jesus. For we realize, that if it wasn’t for His love for us, we would not know You and therefore be without hope. We thank You for hope, for peace, for joy and assurance of eternal life with You. We thank You for Your mercy and Your grace that You provide us each and every day. We love You, we thank You and we praise your Holy Name. This we pray and ask in Jesus’ name, Amen.

Know that God loves you and cares for you today. Think of how truly blessed you are, because of His love for you. And please remember that there is always someone, that needs to hear this. God bless.

Prayer For Today – 1/6/2015

Father God,

We thank you for another day and another year.  Blessed be your Holy Name.  For you are worthy of all our praises.  You are worthy of all that we have to offer.  Let our lives bring glory to you O Lord.  Let our thoughts and actions be pleasing to you.  Help us to honor you in all that we say and do.  Let those who seek hope and encouragement, see Jesus in us and therefore find the hope and encouragement they need.  We thank you for another opportunity to fulfill your Will for our lives.  Help us to trust you more and follow Christ with less murmuring and complaining.  Help us to walk in assurance and boldness, not fearing but trusting the God of All.  In Jesus name we pray and say thank you.  Amen.

Thanksgiving Prayer – 11/26/2014

Let us pray:

Heavenly Father, we thank You for Your Holiness, Your Righteousness and for Your Love for us.  We know we don’t deserve anything from You but punishment for our sins against You and You alone Lord.  But we are indeed thankful for Your continued Mercy, Your Unmerited Favor and Your Grace that You freely and abundantly give to us each and every day.  We thank You for knowing everything about us and in spite of knowing those deep and often times dark things, we try to hide from You, You still draw us to Your heart.  Thank You Father for never letting us go to far where You can’t reach us.  Lord, You have truly blessed us beyond our imaginations, for You give us exactly what we need, even if we don’t often understand or able to see it.  We thank You for Your Son, Jesus.  We thank You for Your written Word and we thank You for Your comforting Spirit, that provides us the understanding of who You are and who we are in You.  These things alone are worthy of all of our praise and gratitude for the rest of our lives, but You didn’t stop there.

We thank You Lord, for our health and strength.  We thank You for our families and friends.  We thank You for our jobs and providing for us, even if we no longer have one.  We thank You for clothing us in our right minds Lord, and renewing a right and humble spirit in us.  And we are especially thankful for being a vessel that You can use for Your glory.  In fact Father, we thank You for our very lives today and the promise of life eternal with You at that appointed time.  Father we thank You and praise You today and each day that You give us.  It is Jesus name we pray and say thanks.  Amen

Have a wonderful and blessed Thanksgiving.  We may not have everything we want and desire, but we have a lot to be Thankful for.

Prayer For Today – 10/13/2014

Heavenly Father we thank you for who you are.  We thank you for your protection, favor, mercy, grace and love.  We can not even accurately acknowledge all that you have done for us, each and every day.  Saying thank you, doesn’t seem like enough at times.  We appreciate you Father and recognize that if you never do another thing in our lives, you have done more than enough.  For you have shown your love for us through your gift -Jesus.  You have shown your concern for us by giving us our Helper and Comforter, your Holy Spirit.  With this, how can we not be grateful? With you, how can we fail?  Thank you for forgiving us of seeking counsel somewhere else.  Forgive us for only coming to you when we want or need something.  Thank you for desiring us, for loving us, for blessing us when we don’t deserve it.  We love you. We praise you. We thank you.  This we pray in Jesus’ name, Amen.

Prayer For Today – Oct. 6, 2014

Heavenly Father, we give you praise and thanksgiving today.  Praise, for being our God, for being just, for being holy and loving us unconditionally.

Thanksgiving for watching over us, protecting us and keeping us from all evil, harm and dangers.

Father, we are also grateful for your grace, mercy and forgiveness of our sins. We strive to love you more and more each day.

Thank you for forgiving us and holding us even closer to you, when we fail to love you and honor you as we should.

Father, we ask this day, that you help us to love others as you love us. That we seek to live a life, set apart for you, as you have made available to us.

We honor you today and glorify your name.  We pray this in Jesus name, Amen.

Prayer For Today – 9/26/2014

LORD GOD,

YOU did it again, when YOU didn’t even have to…YOU woke me up and kept me in my right mind…

I checked the rooms and my kids are still here.  I called my momma and she is sounding real good…

I AM BLESSED!!!

YOU didn’t have to do it, but YOU did…And I THANK YOU LORD, Amen

Prayer For Today – 9/25/2014

Lord God, thank you for bringing us through this week.  Thank you for watching over us and keeping us safe and out of harms way.

I pray Father, that you will be with us throughout the rest of this week and weekend.  For those of us who are travelling,

please watch over them and take them to their destinations safely.  Lord God, for those of us that are going through some tough times,

I pray that you would please touch their hearts, comfort them and give them peace of mind and spirit.

And Father God, help us be mindful of one another and to be a blessing to those who are in need.

These things we ask in the mighty name of Jesus, Amen.

Prayer For Today – 9/16/2014

Lord God…thank You for allowing us to be here another day…please help us to use this day for Your glory and honor.  Also help us to see the blessings You’ve given each of us and to appreciate them without complaint.  Lord God show us how to love greater and forgive faster.  Today we  come before You asking for healing and peace for those with troubled minds…we  pray that You would either lighten their load or give them strength to carry it.  But most of all…please make them aware of Your presence…so they would know that they don’t walk or weep alone…that You are right there to help them in every way, wanting only the best for their lives.  Lord God, these things we ask in the mighty name of Jesus…Amen.

Prayer For Today – 9/10/2014

Father God, I’m asking You today, to heal the broken hearted and touch those who are wounded in spirit…Please uplift those who are hurting and those that feel alone…Please comfort them and let then know that You are going to bring them thru…but most of all, Please impress upon their hearts, just how much they mean to You. That although they may have experienced loss, that You want the best for them and for them not to give up…Lord God, WE NEED YOU!!!  Thank You for all that You’ve done and for what You are doing right now…It is in Jesus name that I pray, Amen.
