Dear Lord, we come to you today, with hearts seeking to know you better.  For without you, our lives would be incomplete and without purpose. We are grateful that you sought us out and knocked on the doors of our hearts.  We are thankful that you did not leave us in our sinful and hopeless condition. And we know we are blessed daily by your love, mercy and grace. Empower us today Lord, to be of service to you with a joyful heart and an attitude of praise.  It is in Jesus name we pray, Amen.

Romans 12:12 NLT – Be glad for all God is planning for you. Be patient in trouble, and always be prayerful.

A simple reminder for us today. Our Heavenly Father only has our good in mind for us and His plans are far better than anything we can come up with. That’s mainly because His plans draws us closer to Him.  It’s hard to see this most times and even harder to wait for those plans, but we must persevere and not lose hope or resort to our plan B’s, C’s and so on.

Finally, we must communicate with God as much as possible. This doesn’t mean begging or asking Him for our wants all the time, but simply thanking Him and worshipping Him for what He has done and who He is.

It is important to stay as near to God as we can during these times. To know Him intimately and completely as He knows us. To hear is words of instruction, direction and comfort. To live our lives for Him and to bring glory to The Father.  For this is our purpose.  For this is our desire.

May the joy of the Lord fill your hearts today and may we share that joy with all we come in contact with.
