Speaking The Truth In Love

What ultimately defines whether you are a Christian or not, is not what Denomination you belong to, but whether you know Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior in your heart. – Ravi Zacharias

Romans 10: 9-10 NLT If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For it is by believing in your heart that you are made right with God, and it is by confessing with your mouth that you are saved.

What God is requiring from us is very simple in my personal opinion.

Confession and Believing

Everything else is us, going through the motions of trying to live a life pleasing to God, without doing what He has asked us to do.

1 Samuel 15: 22 NLT “What is more pleasing to the LORD:
your burnt offerings and sacrifices
or your obedience to his voice?
Listen! Obedience is better than sacrifice,
and submission is better than offering the fat of rams.

You can continue to do things your way or trust that God knows what He requires from us, then do that.

He’s not trying to make this hard. Satan is. Our flesh is. The world and our Society are.

In our desires to be free and have it our own way, all we accomplish is a life, drifting further and further away from He who created us and has created all things. The only One who truly loves us for ourselves. The One who knows what sin has really done to us and the fate it has sealed for is, if we continue down this path of trying to live our own life.

No matter what you tell yourself, or what your friends say, or what society claims…(I’ll say this as lovingly as I can), Hell awaits those who chooses not to confess that Jesus Christ is Lord and believes that He was resurrected as the Savior of those who choose to believe in Him.

Look around you and ask yourself, who or what do you really want to trust your life with: God or this world?

May the Holy Spirit speak to the core of your heart and give you clarity to the answer to this question.
